Hi, I have printed out digital pictures from my digital camera at my local supermarket before and I noticed they do not display the date. Is there any way I can print digital pictures with the date on them? On my computer hard drive where I store all my digital pictures from the camera, if I right-click on any photo and click on “Properties”, it will always tell me the date on which the photo was taken – so obviously the information regarding the date the photo was taken has not been lost. But tell me, how can I get this date to print out on a normal photo print? Would I have to get my own mini photo printer (like an Epson, Canon, etc.) to do this? By the way, do those mini photo printers sold in the shops for home use print out dates on the photos?? I need to print a batch of photos with dates on as evidence to my landlord that the flat was already dirty and there were obvious signs of wear-and-tear when we moved in on the first day of tenancy. Thanks!

usually its a camera setting…but if you cant get it..the date printed is on the back of prints from the stores

I bought my Mum for Mothers day a digital photo frame. Excited to put all our family photos on a memory card including those well before the digital age of myself brother as babies all my mums wedding photos her and her family as children –

ok I copied 100s of old scanned photos onto a memory card the digital photo frame only showed me 2 pictures then didnt move on.

Making sure it wasnt the frame faulty I checked card on computer it shows me all the photos copied.

Then I placed a memory card into the digital frame from my digital camer containing recent photos. They show fine no problem at all

Double checking I put the memory card into the camera but it wont show me any of the scanned photos via the camer

I am presuming digital photo frames only show digital pictures. I had presumed they were basic card readers so would show anything I stored onto a memory card the scanned photos come up fine when transfered to my mobile phone.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP I’ VE ONLY UNTIL 24 HRS TO TRY MAKE THIS A TREASURED GIFT FOR MY MUM.

Can I only view digital photos on a digital frame? Can I convert scanned photos on my computer into digital format? If so how ?

I’m misserable lol my thought to be fabby idea for my lovely Mum isnt working out the way I planned

I’m guessing here… but is it possible the scanned photos are in TIFF (or tif) format rather than jpg?

If so, convert them to jpg and they should be fine.

(How? Simply open the file and choose “Save As.” Select jpg in the format option.

Most frames work only with jpg formated images.

BTW, it doesn’t matter whether they were originated as digital in the camera or scanned – they’re all digital files.

I hope this helps. It’s a very nice thing you’re doing for your mum.

Wireless Technique- Wi fi enabled digital picture frames allow you to put it on your home or office network and convert it into just another drive. You can download pictures directly from a WiFi-enabled digital camera that is supported by the frame.

E-mail- You can set-up a free e-mail account so that your digital frame has a separate e-mail address dedicated entirely to it. Anyone can e-mail photos to the device this way.

RSS (Really Simple Syndication)- If you maintain web album online (like Flicker or Google’s Picasa Web Albums), RSS can let you download selected pictures to your frame from these Web sites. The frame here becomes the feed reader getting pictures from RSS feed service supplied by the website.

Bluetooth- The more advanced features like bluetooth lets you transfer pictures to your digital frame from any other bluetooth device including camera phone.

So, how you download pictures on digital frame depends on the features supported by the frame that you buy. However, it sometimes is not viable to buy a digital frame that has the most advanced features because of many reasons including cost, lack of capability to operate highly technical devices (you sure would not find it feasible to buy a Wi-Fi enabled digital frame for your grandparents.) Change is permanent, they say. The change reflects in the field of electronic picture frame business too. If not anything, then time would have brought about this change. However, there is not even an iota of doubt that this is a mini revolution in the field of digital media.

As far as electronic picture frame is concerned, thousands of advantages can be described. One single electronic picture frame can hold hundreds and thousands of images. Could a traditional picture frame do that? You do not have to turn over each page as you do when watching an album. There is no question of pages in an electronic picture frame. Just set the slide show, sit back, relax and watch the images as they present themselves before you. If you love certain pictures and wish to watch them longer, set the equivalent longer timing for the slide show. This is how you dictate terms in a digital media.

Bluetooth too allows you to transfer data wirelessly. Secured Digital memory cards too have support for various electronic devices.
