one of the very first photos i took with my current camera, the Pentax ZX-M, back in 2001 or something. i had been given the camera as an early christmas gift that summer by my parents, and shortly thereafter i took it to work with me. on my lunch break one day, i walked around downtown milford and shot a a few, just trying to get used to the camera. low and behold, this one came out of that roll.

in a moment of stupidity, i thought it a good idea to spend like 70 bucks to have it enlarged to 20×30, thinking i would get it framed. of course, it would have cost a couple hundred bucks which is great considering i shouldnt have spent the money on the print anyway.

well, the print sat rolled in a tube for years (7, 8 years?) until nicole’s mom was talking about needing something to put in her bedroom on a blank wall. during one of her visits to DC, i took this out to show her and she loved it! i simply gave the print to her and she had it framed back at home, and this is it, hanging on the wall. =]

My digital photo frame has an annoying line going across the top of the screen.?

Question by Matt C: My digital photo frame has an annoying line going across the top of the screen.?
It’s about 20% from the top of the frame and is there regardless of which photos are part of the slide show. It seems to be an issue with the frame rather than an issue with the photos. Also – a few of the photo files appear to be “corrupted” for lack of better word. For example, in one of the pix, half of the colors are reversed, dark is light & light is dark. It’s freaky, but I could just drop those bad pix… the line across the top is the real ssue.

It’s a Westinghouse DPF-1021. It hasn’t been under any stress, no water, no direct sunlight, etc etc – just sitting in an office. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Q&A: ? Appears on Sony digital photo frame instead of JPEG picture; how can I get it to display?

Question by j_rock135: ? Appears on Sony digital photo frame instead of JPEG picture; how can I get it to display?
Out of 1400 pictures 5 very important photos do not show on the photo frame but instead there is an queston mark in its place. I have read that it is because they were altered JPEGs, but i simply scanned them and did nothing else. What is weird is these photos are from the same batch and are all black and white.

Will this be sorted out if I change the file type to for example bmp?? Or do they need re-scanning (I hope not as haven’t got a clue where the pictures are now)..

can you view the pics with any other software? if not the pics may be corrupted. If they are I would search on google for programs that try and fix photos. As for the changing file type why dont you just try it and see?

Do you have a digital picture frame?

Question by ~*Nicole*~: Do you have a digital picture frame?
I just got one given to me by a co-worker (awesome I know) and I’ve never had one. It is a sunpak w/ 10.4 inch screen. Does anyone have this one and if so, how do you like it?

They’re a cool way to display your photos. They strike up conversations more so than a normal photo in a frame because the changing image catches your attention.

Best way to use a Digital Photo Frame?

Question by Ohjbzd: Best way to use a Digital Photo Frame?
So we recently got a pandigital photo frame. I was wondering what the best way to put photos on it would be, cost vs. GB wise i suppose. the options are SD disk, Compact Flash, or a usb port. THanks.

Best answer:

Answer by RDB
Compact Flash is probably the most stable solution but also the most expensive. SD is probably the cheapest. The USB stick tends to stick a ways out of the slot so this might not be ideal depending on where the port is. Not all PC’s have a compact flash drive so sometimes this requires an adapter. Obviously a higher GB card is more expensive but for a photo frame you probably can get by with a 1 GB or if your photo resolution is really high a 2 GB card would be better. The read/write speed of a card makes the playback quality better but the higher the speed the more expensive the card.

I want to buy a digital photo frame. At least 9″. Whats the best value?

Question by Tony A: I want to buy a digital photo frame. At least 9″. Whats the best value?
Ideally I want a random screenshow facility. It seems like a lot of these frames always show an alphabetical screenshow based on file name, so you hardly ever see the later photos.
